Festival Kaja Korea

J’étais à Bordeaux la semaine dernière pour le festival Kaja Korea où j’ai eu le plaisir de retrouver Marion et le fan club de Lee Joon-gi. Cela m’a fait plaisir de les revoir.

Le salon était grand mais avec relativement moins de fan clubs que d’habitude. Moi qui voulais prendre des photos des silhouettes des idols… Beaucoup de stands de vente de petits objets – accessoires, produits de beauté, T-shirts. Le lieu, en bord de Garonne, était sympathique.

C’était aussi l’occasion de revoir ma famille paternelle, sous le soleil en prime.

Avancée du projet
Le projet avance doucement, je réfléchis toujours aux images pour accompagner les interviews.

Appel à participation
J’aimerais vous solliciter de nouveau. Pour une exposition future, j’envisage de projeter les images de celles qui le voudront bien comme autant de façons de regarder la Corée. Elles seraient projetées sur des écrans différents disséminés dans la galerie.

Je vais recontacter celles qui m’ont fait le plaisir de répondre à mon appel. J’aimerais bien avoir plus de participantes (8 au total, j’en ai 4 pour l’instant).

Expositions à venir
Sinon, je travaille à la préparation des expositions à venir.

Pour celles à Paris, la première, en collaboration avec des artistes coréens, dans le cadre de l’anniversaire des 140 ans des relations franco-coréennes, aura lieu dans le 18ème arrondissement, à la galerie La ville a des arts (15 rue Hégésippe Moreau) du 9 au 22 mars avec un premier vernissage le mardi 10 mars et un deuxième le 17.
J’y exposerai deux œuvres réalisées en Corée.

La deuxième exposition aura lieu au Centre Verdier à côté de République. Le vernissage aura lieu le jeudi 26 mars.

Week 9 – Kaja Korea festival in Bordeaux – Exhibition preparation

I hope you are all well. 

Kaja Korea Festival

I was in Bordeaux last week for the Kaja Korea festival, where I had the pleasure to see Marion and Lee Joon-gi’s fan club again. It was great to see them.

The exhibition hall was large, but there were relatively fewer fan clubs than usual. Too bad, I wanted to take photos of the idols’ silhouettes… Most stands were selling small items such as accessories, beauty products, and T-shirts. The location, on the banks of the Garonne River, was great.

It was also an opportunity to see my father’s family, with a beautiful sunshine.

Project progress

The project is progressing slowly, and I am still thinking about the images to go with the interviews.

Call for participation

I would like to ask for your help again. For a future exhibition, I am planning to project the images of those who are willing to participate as different ways of looking at Korea. They would be projected on different screens scattered throughout the gallery.

I will contact those who kindly responded to my initial call again, but I would like to have more participants (8 in total, I have 4 so far).

Upcoming exhibitions

Otherwise, I am working on my upcoming exhibitions.

For those in Paris, the first, in collaboration with Korean artists, as part of the 140th anniversary of Franco-Korean relations, will take place in the 18th arrondissement, at the La ville a des arts gallery (15 rue Hégésippe Moreau) from March 9 to 22, with a first opening on Tuesday, March 10, and a second on the 17th.

I will be exhibiting two works created in Korea.

The second exhibition will take place at the Centre Verdier next to République. The opening will be on Thursday, March 26.
