La lettre A

À la lettre A nous avons ajouté les mots : âge, animation, attachement, anti-dépresseur.

L’âge est effectivement un élément central du projet, par le choix des participantes, mais aussi comme élément clé structurant les relations sociales en Corée, comme l’a souligné Annie.

Parmi les suggestions, j’aime beaucoup le mot « attachement » suggéré par Véro. Je constate en effet dans la plupart des entretiens un véritable attachement émotionnel au pays.

Enfin, il y a l’effet « anti-dépresseur » des K-dramas. Moi-même qui me pensais vaccinée, je me retrouve à sourire bêtement devant certaines séries. On pourrait parler de « comfort watching » – comme on parle de « comfort food » en anglais – cette capacité des K-dramas à nous offrir du réconfort, une forme de bien-être.

La lettre B

Pour le B, j’avais noté les mots suivants : beauté, bien-être, bonheur, bulle.

Week 25 – B like beauty, happiness, well-being and bubble

Hello, everyone,

I hope you’re all doing well. Thank you for your contributions last week! 

The letter A

Under the letter A, we’ve added: age, entertainment, attachment, antidepressant.

Age is indeed a central element of the project, by the choice of participants, but also as a key element of social relationships in Korea, as Annie pointed out. From the suggestions, I also really like the word “attachment” suggested by Véro. In most of the interviews, I’ve noticed a genuine emotional attachment to the country. And then there is antidepressant. Even myself, who thought I was immune to it, find myself smiling silly at certain dramas. I don’t know if we can talk about “comfort watching” the way we talk about “comfort food”.

The letter B

For the letter B, I’d jotted down the following words: beauty, well-being, happiness, bubble.
